Dreamkeeper is a poetography (poetry and photography) ensemble with poems by Bindiya Bedi Charan Noronha and photographs by her sister Komal Bedi Sohal. The book is divided into eight sections - An ode to women, The very first time, Rage, Shades of love, Marriage mirage, Myriad moods, Finding my own path and Oh my God.

The first section 'Ode to women' is dedicated, as the name suggests, to women. For instance, the poem Woman's Day goes -

Woman, you are magical

Of immense

Magnanimity

Amplitude, to be loved

Nourished like

Sweet everything

Day in and out, for with

Amour

You win, the world with you wins.

The second section explores vulnerabilities and rushes of emotion.

From Crying in Public

Crying was a no no

Being the eldest

I was the strongest

Tears were not to be shed

It was not a diktat

But a natural

Way to be

The third section ‘Rage’, rages against all that ails humanity

From Muted

One day she stopped coming

My class became empty

Sold in child marriage

To an ageing landlord

Next, in ‘Shades of Love’ the poems and photographs explore nature and romance.

Passion

Passion, said the rose

Born from your look

Love cuts through

The luminous dark

Without words

Without things

Only that look

With gorgeous photographs, the next section explores the M world is ‘Marriage Mirage’. The poems here are heart-warming and eye-opening in turns.

From Kiss the Bride

The first kiss

With a promise

Seals the proposal

In ‘Myriad Moods’, diverse voices and images are explored. The poet says in The call to silence

Silence beckons me

Amidst the din

Of Chaotic voices

In ‘Finding my path’ there are images and poems of self-help and self hope.

From Metamorphosis

A weakling i was

Brushing all under the carpet

With a pretentious smile

I lived in my own cacoon

Till i shed the skin

Let Go

In letting go

WE find

in finding ourselves

We let go

Finally the last segment ‘Oh My God’ is all about mystic experiences.

From Revive

Birds home into nests

Rivers flow into oceans

And the heart may wander

Far into an unknown yonder

A lovely poetography collection to add to your library - do pick it up.
